Joyce Clegg

To introduce myself – My name is Joyce Clegg.

Working alongside Mr Paul Nicholson, in our joint venture, The Orthopaedic Injection Clinic, our conversation steered towards the benefits of using a patient’s own plasma as regenerative medicine. Not only for your joints but also the excellent results that have been well documented for hair regrowth.

While Paul is very passionate about orthopaedics, I am very passionate about hair loss and the mental effects losing your hair can have on a person. Having had a hysterectomy at 35, my body began my menopause journey immediately after the surgery. Having to navigate the complete unknow of menopause at such a young age I must say the one symptom I struggled the most with over the years was my own hair loss. HRT helped with all of the other symptoms apart from that one.

I have tried every lotion, shampoo, vitamin, doctors over 10 years to see no real improvement. My moment came 5 years ago when I found a lovely doctor that introduced me to Scalp PRP. It was a fairly new treatment in Dublin at this stage but I was happy to try anything. It has had such a profound effect on my hair that now 5 years later with the support of my colleague Paul we have decided to open The PRP Treatment Clinic offering predominately Scalp PRP for all genders.

My hope for this clinic is to help and support everyone that is feeling upset or a little bit down because their hair is not how they would like it to be.
